Use the directory in Mercury as a shared place to view all contracts on the project. It is accessible from Desktop or Mobile.
Invite User
Admin Permissions Required for the Directory Tool
Access to Mercury and the projects within are controlled by the project directory. Contacts are shared across all projects (company directory), so make sure the person you’re adding does not already exist in Mercury before adding them to your project. Only people getting added to Mercury for the first time will get a notification. Past users will log in and see an additional project without the need for an emailed link.
From the Project, Select Directory
Under the Users tab select Add User
Select an existing user or type their email address.
Select a Permissions Role
Add user
*You will find a Red Call out that says “Pending Invite” next to users who have not accepted their invitation.

Use the three dots in the upper right and select export. This will send a excel (.csv) file to downloads.

Below is a table of where user info can be edited (after created). Title, Phone, and Role can be unique to each project. Email is the primary identifier and cannot be edited after the use has been created. Admin permission required to make changes at the Company and Project levels.

Keeping directories clean is seemingly impossible. We uploaded over 3,000 companies to Mercury to kick things off to try and avoid the initial users doing all the data entry AND duplicating entries. Those vendors were those prequalified with us at that time (February 2025). As of this article being written, we are asking Andersen Employees to contact helpdesk to add new vendors to avoid a future mess of PCI, P.C.I, Performance Contracting, and Performance Contracting Inc all being in the directory.
*Andersen Employees can fill out this form to get new companies added: Mercury New Company Request
Scope
Admin Permissions Required for the Directory Tool
When a Company is added to a project, you are able to add their scope. The scope field is searchable just like the company name for when you know it’s the plumber, but not which one. You may also add the same company multiple times to the same project and assign them different scopes. EX - McKinstry (Fire Protection) and McKinstry (Metal Panel).
*Scope information only lives at the project level and therefore can be different from project to project. To edit after the initial addition of the company, use the 3 dots on the far right.
Roles
Admin Permissions Required for the Directory Tool
The Roles Tab is where you can create permissions roles at the project level. Standard come with every project, but if you can create something unique to your project. Check out the Permissions article to learn more.
