MERCURY UPDATE | April 2026

It’s Q2 already and NASA is going back to the moon! Looks like we made a good name choice since space flight coming back just like the fashion choices of my teenage kids. Lots more fixes, features and enhancements are happening every week. Everything below that wasn’t a fix was a feature request made by someone that is now a reality, so keep them coming!
FEATURED CHANGES
Featured changes are those that came highly requested, have a significant impact on functionality, or we thought they were more exciting than the others.
Multiple Photo’s in Succession
We’ve simplified taking multiple photos by removing 3–4 taps per session. Open the camera tool, choose an album, and keep snapping until you’re done. Check out the Feature Request Link for the background or the Doc Article for the how-to.
Checklist Upgrades: Pass Observations Optional
Some workflows require observations for passing items, others don’t, now you can choose.
If no observation is needed, just “Save without Response.”
We also added animations (mobile and desktop) to make it clear the inspection is still open while creating observations.
Additionally, checklist settings (QC, safety, equipment) are now more flexible at both the project and company level.

Safe Observations: Shorter
Observations are still required for “Safe,” but we’ve reduced the effort.
Unnecessary inputs like Assignees are removed, and “Company” is added so credit goes where it’s due.

Saving Views
You can now save filtered and sorted views from a tool’s home page.
Saved views can be:
Shared with the entire project (admin only), or
Kept personal
You can also set a default view if you have multiple saved. Check out the Doc Link for more info.

ENHANCEMENTS AND FIXES

MERCURY USER INNOVATIONS
THIS IS WHY WE CREATED MERCURY! These are the tools that our own users have thought of and created on their own. Seriously, no software engineers were involved in creating the following:
On the Kaiser project, Andersen is requesting all AHJ inspections for our trades. That team is working on creating a tool for trades to submit those requests and then track the inspection thru to completion. Stay tuned for how it turns out!
One of our UW projects have created a COP log to track changes on the project.
